  Weweler-Colaert brand belongs to the eponymous company that is a part of VDL Group. The enterprise is located in Belgium and is the leading European manufacturer of air suspensions, multi-leaf and parabolic springs on the Aftermarket.

      The company’s history started in 1924, when the Weweler family started wholesales of spare parts for heavy vehicles in Apeldoorn, the Netherlands. Due to the shortage of leaf springs on the market, the Weweler owners decided to begin their own production in 1948.

      Thanks to the good market knowledge and high quality of production, the company developed rapidly. Firstly as a reliable manufacturer and supplier of mechanical springs, then as one of the leaders in production of air suspension for trailers, trucks and buses.

When Weweler merged with VDL      Group in July 2001, the activities of Weweler were mostly directed to the OEM market.

      In January, 2002 Weweler company was divided into 4 operating companies:

•   Weweler Nederland BV in Apeldoorn - the Netherlands (OEM)
•    Weweler-Colaert NV in Poperinge - Belgium (AM)
•    Weweler-Colaert Nederland BV in Apeldoorn - the Netherlands (AM)
•    Truck & Trailer Industry in Oslo - Norway (trading company)

      Today Weweler is known as the manufacturer of high-quality goods. The efforts of the highly qualified company’s specialists are directed to the safety and comfort insurance and the increase of the operating capacity of vehicles.
